Dear Editor:
First, let me thank you for your newspaper. We, here in Carnation, are so glad to FINALLY have a paper that includes this valley. And you do a terrific job. Thank you for your time and for your terrific newspaper. All of Carnation is talking about it! Sincerely, Linda Johnson-A business owner and proud of Carnation

Bill,
I have lived in Carnation for 12 years now and I think your newspaper, the River Current News, is the best. It is much better than the Valley View because it really does cover Carnation, Duvall and outlying areas with great articles and pictures. No one location is dominant in the paper which is good so now I am informed about my area AND other areas in the valley with excellent coverage. Thank you for starting the paper. We love it!!!! Patricia Hinneburg-Brigadier General, USAF, Retired

I enjoyed the first issue of the River Current News very much. The articles were interesting and humorous and I look forward to reading many more editions....Thanks for the new newspaper! Cindy Sewell

…I also want to say that I absolutely LOVE the publication. It has more local articles, advertisements etc., than the Valley View. I am glad to know of the website now —I checked it out today and learned that there is a meeting tonight that I would like to go to….thanks!! Peace ~Kathy~

I just wanted to let you know how excited I am about your paper!!! I've gotten so tired of reading about Woodinville all the time... THANK YOU for coming up with a good Duvall paper! And so far I think the articles are great!! I have worked at Cherry Valley Elementary for 18 years so I enjoy seeing all the articles about the kids in our town... "my kids" I call them... keep up the good work....Sally Sanden

Hi there,
Thanks so much for your great paper. We moved to Duvall in May and that other paper just doesn't give us the important info we need about the area like yours does!....Jill Dalton, Duvall

Thanks so much for getting my Grandparents in the paper. They were thrilled! I managed to get some extra copies for the family. I've got some connections at the post office, you know. It was a big hit. Thanks for your help. Steve Tucker

I was up on lake Margaret fishing yesterday evening about dark when I was chatting with one of the homeowners about fishing. He asked me my name and I told him Ward. He yelled to his wife in the house, "Come out quick honey, we have a celebrity at the dock," he is the one that writes the article for the River Current News paper. My immediate thought was - This can't be good. Anyway, they went over to Crescent lake as soon as they read the article and enjoyed the place thoroughly saying they caught different fish every cast. Ward Norden

Dear Editor, I spoke to Jim Hallas at CHS this week and he suggested I email you. The LDS Church is hosting a 100th Birthday Party for Hazel Booth on Sept. 16th, Saturday, from 1-4, at the LDS Church in Carnation, and we would love to have your photographer come and take a photo of this momentous event for your wonderful new paper! (I have heard nothing but compliments about this new publication, we LOVE it!) Thank you, Sunne Grady

Hi Bill- I thought I would give you some positive feedback on classified ads in your paper. A friend of mine advertised his rental home in the RCN and got 30 calls!!! Rented it right away! Sue Linnerooth CRS,ABR, Associate Broker, The Linnerooth Team, Windermere Real Estate Inc. NE, Phone & Fax: 206-686-1435

Dear Editor: I really enjoy your simple, straightforward layout and style to your paper. The writing is clear and concise, yet there's a touch of personality that lends itself to this valley. Thanks for all you do. Sincerely, David Kosorok

…Thanks for being a lesson for him, but really thank you for publishing lots of news about local happenings. We love the new paper.Yours, Rachel Baker

Hey just wanted to let you know I really like this new paper its great. Thanks, Glenda Robinson

Today I was part of a conversation about your paper and folks were saying how it builds community and is so positive. Everyone looks forward to getting it and reading it cover to cover. A lady from Washington Trout was saying that it is just the vehicle everyone is looking for to get the folks that live here but drive through on their way to Redmond to actually embrace the community! You are doing great things!... Paige Dennison

Dear Bill: Hats off to Lori Varosh for a wonderful uplifting story about Hazel Booth's 100th birthday party in Carnation. It's a pleasure to read positive engaging news about ordinary people doing extraordinary things despite their daily challenges. Lori and her photographer were able to engage Hazel and her family in a sincere respectful way. I appreciated the way they were both able to joyfully participate in the celebration and write such a great story. Thanks again for your publication. Sincerely, Susan Taylor Alling, Duvall, WA

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your/our paper. I love that you introduce us to our amazing community For example the story about Frances made me feel like I now know him personally, its nice saying hi to him when I see him at True Value. Reading the story about Laura Falcon inspired and touch me,loved seeing Lynsie wedding picture after hearing about it all summer. These are the incredible people in our town that make it what is is....Way to go. Keep up the great work.

Oh don't forget the high school sports, love seeing and reading about the local talent,we have much to be proud of. Tamber Van Patten
